AFEX, a company with in which Ngali Holdings co-invested, aims to create better access to agricultural and financial markets for smallholder farmers. This will enable them to sell products at a fair and competitive price giving them access to financing opportunities.
The DFC project is a partnership between Ngali Holdings and the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) who have commissioned Ngali to be the sole collector of fees owed to the various districts of Rwanda. Rwanda is situated along a belt of volcanoes, where the process of volcanism and plate convergence has resulted in the formation of important minerals such as gold, amethyst, tin, tantalum and tungsten among others. The Ngali Mining Company, wholly owned by Ngali Holdings is interested in exploration, mining, processing and trading of these minerals to tap into the market to the benefit of the Rwandan people. read more
The Rwandan agricultural sector meets 90% of the country's food needs and generates 70 % of the export revenue. It is important that a competitive agro-industry is developed in Rwanda to meet the needs of farmers whose livelihood is dependent on agricultural produce and the consumer who buys the end product for sustenance. Ngali Holdings has established this project to support the establishment of value added food chains that will improve the quality of food and increase the creation of jobs specifically in the rural areas of Rwanda.
