Mr. Emmanuel MUVARA is Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary for Ngali holdings Ltd & Subsidiaries
Muvara Emmanuel is a seasoned and well-experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, which was attained through experience and education.
In performing work for various companies, Muvara Emmanuel has gained extensive experience in corporate affairs particularly board matters. He has 12 years attending various boards as Company Secretary or a Director. He has far-reaching experience in the preparation and negotiation of share sale agreements and business sale and purchase agreements involving local, national and cross-border transactions. He has also participated and well experienced in drafting and negotiating PPAs, concession agreements, guarantees, BOOTs. He is well conversant with the EPCs, O&Ms and other large-scale construction and mining contracts.
Emmanuel has also advised over many years in relation to all forms of commercial law as well as advising boards of Ngali and its wholly owned subsidiaries on corporate governance.
Furthermore, he has extensive experience in the preparation of shareholder agreements, share sales agreements, joint venture agreements and the broader range of commercial agreements.
Emmanuel participated in drafting and negotiating Ngali Energy Ltd PPAs, and other energy related agreements with EUCL and Irembo BOT.
Prior to joining Ngali Holdings Ltd Emmanuel worked with Access Bank Rwanda Ltd, in legal and remedial assets and is known for brokering complicated deals. He is very conversant with banking law and practices.
Emmanuel sat on the bench as a judge where he conducted various litigation court proceedings sessions on different areas particularly land matters, family issues including succession, divorce filiations, contract disputes and criminal matters. He worked as a senior criminal analyst in Rwanda prosecution authority.
He is experienced in the structuring of projects, particularly in the area of project finance.
He has education in International commercial law and is a candidate for a Diploma in Legal Practice.
